What is an Encounter?

An Encounter is a power-packed weekend where men and women break free of every obstacle that prevents them from becoming all that they can be in Christ.  Jesus said: "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will SET YOU FREE" (John 8:31-32). If you want to be  free from habits, bondages, bitterness, wrong thoughts, and past mistakes, sign up today!

Who will be there?
Each Encounter is led by a Living Sanctuary Church pastor or staff member.  Generally, groups contain between 20 and 40 people. Men and women have separate Encounter weekends, with the minimum age set at 16 (if you are 18 or younger, you must have your parent's or guardian's permission to attend). 

Where is the Encounter held?
We use an excellent campsite and retreat facility that can accommodate our group sizes. The camp is clean, well-staffed and within one hour of the Sarasota-Bradenton area.

What is the cost?
The cost for attending an Encounter is $135 for both participants and servers. This fee covers two nights of lodging, five meals, two traveling meals, snacks, transportation to and from the camp site, and other amenities.  Note, payments are non-refundable, non-transferable, and are not tax deductible.
